Bitcoin upside,
built on real estate.

For capital: bitcoin’s upside, with the return of capital backstopped by U.S. commercial real estate. For CRE owners: bitcoin’s upside, and you keep property operations and income as they are now. Pick your side; the page shows only what applies to you.

Which side are you on?
Not sure where you fit? Daniel explains the two kinds of partners in 40 seconds, then pick your side below.

The Founder

Designed by someone who has sat in every seat of a commercial real estate deal.

A decade valuing commercial property for banks, alongside owning, developing and syndicating it as a principal. bitHedge is that experience applied to one question: how a real estate owner and a capital investor can share bitcoin’s upside without either one carrying a risk they cannot afford.

Daniel Holbrook
Founder & Managing Partner · Fund Manager

Commercial real estate appraiser from 2014. Fund structure first written at Bitcoin 2025 in Las Vegas, then built out with fund counsel, custody, audit and administration lined up. Sole decision-maker, and the person on the other end of every conversation.

Valued it for the banks

President of Accuvalue (2017 to 2022): $2B+ of institutional commercial valuation work across multifamily, industrial, retail, office, subdivisions and large ranch land. Director, Wyoming and Utah, at BBG (2022 to 2024), leading a team and onboarding 30+ institutional clients, mostly regional banks. Certified General Appraiser in six states.

Owned, developed, syndicated it

First property bought in college, 2011. Co-GP on a 44-unit multifamily syndication in Cheyenne, sourced and led to closing. Principal in two apartment developments totaling 76 units. Designed an attainable for-sale townhome product now under construction. 30+ principal transactions, including creative finance and 1031 exchanges.

Read the collateral the hard way

Cornerstone Research, Menlo Park (2013 to 2014): mortgage-backed-securities litigation after the financial crisis, analyzing loan pools to find where originators had not followed their own underwriting standards. Earlier: distressed real estate valuation for a $350M capital raise. BYU, Economics and Russian, magna cum laude.

Bitcoin’s volatility is broadcast. Real estate’s isn’t.
Everyone sees bitcoin swing. No one broadcasts the storm that just hit your market or the tenant who walked. An appraiser on which asset is really the volatile one.
Redevelopment wipes out the improvement value.
Sell for redevelopment and the building you paid for counts for nothing. You may even split the demolition bill. The quiet risk most owners never price in.
The problem came from centralization.
Texas once had 254 local processors. Now it has the multinationals. Texas Slim on how ranchers lost their leverage, and why he thinks the fix is the most decentralized money ever built.
How does your land work for you?
Your cattle work. Your leases work. Does your equity? The question most free-and-clear owners have never been asked.
Bitcoin falls 50%. What happens?
Bitcoin drops 50% and you sit on your hands. An office building drops to 60% occupancy and you write a check. Same volatility, very different bill.
Land rich and cash poor. Then what?
Seven generations of Texans, land rich and cash poor. Texas Slim on why he sees bitcoin as the liquidity his family’s land never gave them.
